Gratitude list from 2013

  1. My relationship with Christ. This is the year I decided that I am following Jesus. I have decided to obey him, to know him better and share his goodness with others. Since making that decision I have longed for more of him. I cannot wait for 2014 as the journey of sanctification continues! I want my life to bring glory to God. And with the help of the Holy Spirit, love God even more.
  2. I joined City Lights Church and for the 1st time became an active member of a church. The wonderful people who have made me feel at home in Dubai.
  3. I have lost many loved ones this year and got to appreciate the fickleness of life. It made me appreciate the gift of life. The importance of living a meaningful life. A life that glorifies God.
  4. I love my family and friends even more. Their love and support as I grow more as a Christian has been an absolute blessing to me. A special shout out to my parents for loving me unconditionally. My siblings for being a continued motivation. Nkulu for coming to spend Christmas and New Years with me. A special mention to Natasha and Dieke, you have made my Dubai memorable.

  5. God's favour at work has been something unmerited and greatly appreciated.
  6. The realisation that I am exactly where God wants me to be. If it wasn't true then I would be doing something else. This brought me such peace. Peace about being in the will of God. Peace about my future. Peace about giving God all my worries and fears. And I started to dream. I learnt to enjoy the power of now.
  7. All the little ones who have moved me to a place of honour and call me aunty. These wonderful people are Zigi, Kago, Themba, Zenande, Imani and Langa.
